Radisson has brought back its annual Friends & Family sale in which it’s offering members of its Radisson Rewards program a discount of 30% on bookings made by the middle of January. The sale’s travel window is disappointingly small but if you’re planning to travel soon, the discounts on offer may make this a promotion that’s worth considering.

Quick Thoughts
The first thing that I should point out is that the key phrase to focus on in this sale is “up to” as the discounts on offer are certainly not all as high as 30%. A 1-night booking for 15 January at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago (one of the better Radisson properties in the United States) costs ~$193 under the Friends & Family rate while the next best rate costs ~$228.
The saving on offer here is just 15%.
I’ve found discounts of up to 19% at properties like the Radisson Blu Resort & Residence in the Dominican Republic and discounts as high as 21% in one or two properties in the heart of the United States, but I’ve yet to find a discount of 30%.
Still, discounts of between 15% and 21% aren’t bad and shouldn’t be ignored so there could be scope for some savings if you’re traveling in the next 5 – 6 weeks.
Bottom Line
Radisson says that it’s offering discounts of up top 30% on bookings made by 17 January 2021 for stays in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean but the chances are that the best deals you find will offer a discount of between 15% and 20% on the next best rate.
