Radisson has launched a new sale in which it’s offering all guests up to 15% off stays in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, & Asia and it’s offering Radisson Rewards members a further discount of up to 10%. Furthermore, Radisson Rewards members will also earn bonus points on stays of two nights or more.

Radisson’s EMEA sale

Key things to know:

  • Book by 30 March 2022
  • Stay between 1 April and 31 May 2022
  • An Eligible Stay is defined as a stay of one or more consecutive nights at the same Participating Hotel, regardless of the number of check-ins or check-outs that occur during that stay.
  • Eligible Nights cover all days of the week at participating properties in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
  • Guests who book an Eligible Stay at the Retail Rate will receive, subject to availability, the following:
    • Non-Radisson Rewards members may receive an up to 15% discount on the Retail Rate at the Participating Hotel;
    • Radisson Rewards members may receive an extra discount of up to 10% off the Non-Radisson Rewards members offer Rate. The specific discount may vary by Participating Hotel.
  • When booking through the app, Non-Radisson Rewards members and Radisson Rewards members may receive an up to 10% extra discount
  • When booking the prepaid rate, a 25% food & drinks (F&D) discount applies at the hotels in the Middle East and Africa, and a 20% F&D discount at selected hotels in Central Europe and South-Eastern Europe (see the full terms and conditions for the list of participating hotels). The discount does not apply to alcoholic beverages. Depending on local regulations, the discount might not be applicable on certain items.
  • Members will earn 1,000 bonus Radisson Rewards points per stay for a two-night stay and 2,000 bonus Radisson Rewards points for a stay of three nights or more based on Eligible Bookings at Participating Properties during the Promotion Period.
  • The bonus points will be awarded to accounts within 60 days after the end of the promotion.
  • Bonus points are in addition to the standard points per U.S. dollar issued based on the standard tier proposition.
  • Only one Radisson Rewards account may earn bonus points for a booking.

Quick thoughts

I wouldn’t let the bonus points that are being offered sway any decision that you have to make (I value 1,000 points at no more than $4) but being able to lock in a saving of up to 25% on a room rate is a nice offer to have.

Radisson’s EMEA region covers a significant number of countries (with Europe being loosely defined to include countries like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan) so although the Maldives doesn’t appear to feature in this sale, there are plenty of great destinations to choose from – Mauritius, Italy, and South Africa are the ones that stand out for me.

Don’t forget that the sale also includes a 20-25% saving off non-alcoholic F&B purchases at a wide range of properties in the EMEA region and that could help keep the cost of a trip down to a manageable level for those who like to eat at least one mean on property. Be aware, however, that while all Radisson properties in the Middle East and Africa appear to be offering the F&B discount, only select properties in Central Europe and South-Eastern Europe are following suit.

Bottom line

Radisson has launched a new sale covering properties in its EMEA region in which it’s offering savings of up to 25% on hotel booking and on food and beverage purchases on site. Bonus points are also available for stays of at least 2 nights but those should just be viewed as an added bonus rather than as a reason to make a booking.
