Radisson Hotel Group is the new name for what was once Carlson-Rezidor and Radisson Rewards is the new name for the Club Carlson loyalty program. Not too much has changed with the hotel group (except for the name and a reshuffling of premium properties) while the transition from Club Carlson to Radisson Rewards has seen the loyalty program tweak its rules here and there to make them both a little better and a little worse.

Now the newly named hotel group and loyalty program have both come out with promotions to, presumably, further publicise the rebranding.

Radisson Hotel Group Asia-Pacific Promotion

a woman with her mouth open and a hat

Radisson’s Asia-Pacific promotion (“One Night’s Never Enough”) is offering guests 15% off a property’s Best Available Rates and takes in all of Radisson’s Asia-Pacific hotels.

A two night stay is required to trigger the promotion and, as Radisson rewards members get an extra 5% discount on top, the total discount is actually 20%.

  • Book by 15 April 2018
  • Stay by 30 June 2018

Full terms and conditions can be found on the sale page via this link

The main thing to note here is that the discount is based on the “best available rate” and this is a bit misleading because this isn’t actually the cheapest rate you can get at a property (which is what you may expect considering the name given to the rate)

The “best available rate” refers to the cheapest flexible rate that any given property is offering so, as there are cheaper non-flexible rates available at all of Radisson’s properties, the actual discount you can get with this promotion is not going to be 20% off the best rate you’ll find.

If, like me, you usually book the cheapest rate you can find this isn’t great news but, if you’re someone who prefers to book flexible rates, the 20% off should come in useful.

Radisson Rewards Promotion – Earn Up To 120,000 points

a man and woman laughing

Radisson Rewards is offering members the chance to earn up to 120,000 points between now and 30 June. As with a lot of hotel promotions we see this promotion offers guests more points the more nights they stay – here’s how the offer is structured:

  • Book & stay 2 nights: Earn 5,000 bonus points
  • Book & stay 5 nights: Earn 15,000 bonus points
  • Book & stay 10 nights: Earn 50,000 bonus points
  • Book & stay 20+ nights: Earn 120,000 bonus points

Guests will also earn an additional 500 points per stay for every booking made through the revamped Radisson rewards mobile app.

Headline T&Cs

  • Book by 15 April 2018
  • Stay though 30 June 2018
  • Whole stay must take place within the promotion period
  • Registration is necessary to participate (register here)
  • Points and Points & Cash bookings will not count towards this promotion

I value Radisson Rewards Points at 0.4 cents each so the effective rebates on offer here are:

  • Book & stay 2 nights: $20
  • Book & stay 5 nights: $60
  • Book & stay 10 nights: $200
  • Book & stay 20+ nights: $480

At the higher end, those rebates start to look interesting and, as I suspect that most people who stay 10+ nights at Radisson properties by 30 June will be staying for work (and will therefore not be paying for the stays), this could be a very nice promotion indeed.

Don’t forget that you can pair this points promotion with the Asia-Pacific promotion I mentioned earlier so you should be able to save and earn bonus points at the same time.
