Qatar Airways has announced that a new range of “limited edition” amenity kits are now being offered to First & Business Class passengers on medium- and long-haul flights.

Qatar Airways long-haul amenity kits are now offered by BRIC’s (not too long ago they were Armani) and this limited edition range comes in yellow, navy blue, a color the airline is calling “blush” (presumably some kind of pink?) and tan.

Per Qatar Airways:

The miniature versions of the Bellagio and Sintesis suitcase features a hard-shell with a Tuscan leather trim. Each bag contains exclusive products from Italy’s Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, the environmentally friendly olive oil company.

The skin care range includes lip balm, hydrating facial mist, and anti-ageing moisturiser in Business Class, with added Night Recovery Cream for First Class kits. Socks, eyeshades and ear plugs complete the range with the addition of a BRIC’S signature luggage tag for First Class.

This is what the exiting Business Class kits look like so, presumably, the case will remain the same just the color will change:

On medium-haul flights things are a little different.

First and Business Class passengers travelling on Qatar Airways’ medium-haul routes will be offered amenity kits from leading fashion brand Nappa Dori featuring a new series of destination images printed on the kits canvas exterior, including Thailand, the Netherlands, China and Doha.

Frequent travellers can add the new keepsake designs from both brands to their collections, which combine vintage and contemporary styles and contain a range of must-have handy travel accessories.

Qatar Airways hasn’t provided any images of these amenity kits (which is a pity as these actually seem to be markedly different for what I’ve seen in the past) so we can only assume what they look like.

All in all this isn’t exactly massive news but you’d be surprised how many people are interested in developments like this 🙂
