Back in November, Hyatt launched a promotion in which it offered 1,000 AAdvantage Miles per night for stays at select Hyatt resorts, and now that that offer has ended (it ended on 4 April), Hyatt is back with a bigger and better (albeit targeted) deal – earn 1,000 AAdvantage Miles per night at hundreds of World Hyatt properties around the world.
Promotion Details
Earn 1,000 bonus AAdvantage Miles per night on all qualifying nights at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide and participating M life Rewards destinations, Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties, and Lindblad Expeditions.
- Eligible World of Hyatt and AAdvantage members will receive direct notification of the offer and instructions on how to register – Hyatt has not made the selection criteria public so we don’t know how many or how few people are being invited to participate.
- Eligible members must register for the promotion between 15 April and 30 June 2021.
- Stays must be made between 15 April and 31 July 2021 for eligible nights to count toward earning AAdvantage bonus miles.
- Eligible nights booked using World of Hyatt points during the promotion period will still earn 1,000 AAdvantage bonus miles per eligible night.
- Eligible members can earn a maximum of 30,000 AAdvantage bonus miles under this promotion.
World of Hyatt and AAdvantage elite members who have yet to link their accounts can do so by clicking HERE and this will ensure that they’re considered for future promotions.
Quick Thoughts
AAdvantage Gold, Platinum, Platinum Pro, and Executive Platinum members already earn one AAdvantage mile for every eligible dollar spent on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences and this promotion just adds to that.
I value American Airlines Miles at 1.25 cents each so, effectively, this promotion is offering targeted travelers a special rebate of $12.50 per night for all eligible bookings up to a maximum of $375 (30,000 miles).
On its own, that probably isn’t going to be enough to make someone leap into action and make some previously unplanned bookings or to change any existing bookings, but when viewed in conjunction with Hyatt’s ongoing Bonus Journeys promotion (earn up to 2,500 bonus World of Hyatt points for every two qualifying nights) and when you consider that Hyatt award bookings will also trigger the bonus miles, this is another good reason why Hyatt will be at the top of a lot of people’s lists when they go to make plans.
It’s also worth keeping in mind that this latest promotion will also stack with Hyatt’s “office for the day” promotion which has now been extended to properties in Europe and the Middle East.
Bottom Line
If you’ve linked your World of Hyatt and American Airlines AAdvantage accounts you may soon be receiving an email inviting you to register to earn 1,000 bonus AAdvantage Miles for stays made at participating World of Hyatt properties through 31 July 2021. While not an earth-shattering promotion like some Hyatt promotions we’ve seen in the past year, this still offers a nice bonus for targeted travelers.
