After posting a teaser on their website earlier this morning, British Airways have now announced a world-wide sale on flights and holidays for departures from the UK.

British Airways Sale

The booking period for flights is 25 June – 14 July (no big rush!)

The travel dates vary by cabin and destination so it’s best to check the terms & conditions for your choice of destination.

As a general rule however, travel dates start in August/September 2015 and go through to the Middle of March 2016. The notable exception to this is for travel in World Traveller to the US which can be booked through to the middle of June 2016.

Ignore the the headline sale prices that BA are advertising as they don’t represent some of the better deals they’re offering (I’ve no idea how they select the fares to display on the home page).

Here are some of the more interesting, if not amazing, deals that are on offer:

USA

Los Angeles from £483 return
New York from £381 return
Miami from £461 return

(BA Are advertising San Francisco from £678 return – you’d be much better off flying into LA, hiring a car and enjoying the beautiful coast road up to San Francisco if that’s where you want to go).

Caribbean

Antigua from £494 return
Tobago from £495 return
St Lucia from £495 return

Africa

Marrakech from £109 return
Sharm el Sheikh from £180 return

Middle East

Abu Dhabi from £409 return
Dubai from £369 return

Asia

Singapore from £539 return
Mumbai from £493 return
Hong Kong from £539 return
Tokyo from £567 return

The prices aren’t exactly wow-ing me but there are a few reasonable deals in there – it will all depend on how flexible you can be with your travel plans.

If you’re looking  to book  flight to the US and you’re determined to stick with BA then use their Low Price Finder tool to find the best fares they’re offering.

It also may be worth having a look at the holidays that BA are advertising in the sale – 3 Nights in New York, at a decent hotel and with flights included is showing at under £500 per person so there may be some deals in there worth considering.

Let me know, in the comments section, if you spot any gems.
