Marriott USA came out with a Black Friday sale yesterday which was more of an embarrassment to the brand than any kind of sale that guests will be interested in (Starwood followed suit), so it’s great to see Marriott in the UK making an effort to pull together a sale in which you can actually get some value.

There aren’t that many rules that you need to know….

• The sale is running through 27 November 2017 (Cyber Monday)
• The promotion is valid for stays between 26 November 2017 and 12 April 2018
• 54 Marriott Properties in the UK are participating

The Deals

I’m going to focus on London in this section as that’s where the majority of the TFM readership will almost certainly want to visit, but the 54 participating properties are spread out all around the UK.

Note: all the prices you’re about to see include all taxes and fees. In addition, Marriott Rewards members get an added discount on top of these prices.

The best deal(s) I’ve seen are to be had at my favorite London Marriott – The London Marriott West India Quay.

This property sits just 3 underground stops from Tower Bridge, the Tower of London & the Shard and just 5 stops from the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye and it has some fantastic prices on offer right now.

In December there are still a few nights available for under £100 ($130) per night….

…and moving in to January and February the good weekend prices are still there:

That’s under £80 ($105) a night for a room at an excellent London Marriott!

I’ve stayed at this property a few times and they treat Platinum guests very well indeed (I’ve had at least two suite upgrades here) and, if you want to know more, I’ve reviewed the property here.

If you prefer being even more central then you’re going to have to pay more….but there are still some pretty good deals to be had.

The London Marriott County Hall – Image Marriott

The London Marriott County Hall (the property next to the London eye and diagonally opposite the Houses of Parliament) has a lot of availability at under £179 ($235) per night….

…the St Pancras Renaissance has plenty of dates showing at under £175 ($232) per night….

The London Marriott Grosvenor Square – Image Marriott

…the London Marriott Grosvenor Square is still showing weekend nights with prices as low as £146 ($195) but, if those don’t work for you, there’s still good availability at around £170 ($225) per night:

Lastly (as I really don’t have time to go through every single property!) even the Grosvenor House JW Marriott has rooms for under £200 ($295) per night:

Bottom Line

Considering the abominations that was presented as “sales” by both Marriott USA and Starwood yesterday, I was very surprised to see these deals appearing from Marriott UK.

If you’ve been thinking about visiting London then this could be a good chance to snag a very good deal and, if the hotel of your choice doesn’t have good rates for all the nights you want to visit, don’t be afraid to move hotels to maximize your savings…the distance between some of these Marriotts isn’t very big at all.
