Marriott has joined forces with high-end concierge company Quintessentially, to pull together a series of road trip options for travelers that may prefer to vacation closer to home or for those who would still like to travel but who would like to see more of the regions they’re visiting. Each of the curated itineraries includes stays at some of Marriott’s top properties in the US and Europe.

To find out the prices of each itinerary you have to email in your preferences via this webpage so I have no idea how much these road trips cost, but given that they all only include properties affiliated to the higher-end brands in Marriott’s portfolio (EDITON, Ritz-Carlton, St Regis, etc…), and that they include some pretty unique experiences, it’s probably safe to say that these itineraries aren’t going to be cheap.

Quintessentially and Marriott have put together 9 separate itineraries (6 in the United States and 3 in Europe) and each appears to offer something very different from the others. A little annoyingly these trips only appear to be available through October…but there’s nothing to say that Quintissentailly and Marriott won’t be flexible if you ask nicely.

These are the itineraries on offer – you’ll notice that they vary considerably in length.

Bottom Line

Booking these road trips through Marriott/Qunitissentailly will probably only appeal to a small number of people but the itineraries and the routings can still be very useful to give more independent travelers an idea of what can be done and what regions may be interesting to visit. Personally speaking, I’d love to do a road trip that included Florence and Rome (I’ve visited Venice relatively recently) as well as other parts of Europe too, so combining aspects of the Classic Italy road trip with the Dolomites To Lake Geneva road trip would be a very appealing option….although I may have to check out a few hotels that aren’t quite as expensive as some that these road trips suggest!

Would you consider doing any of these trips?
