In February, American Express decided that it needed to do something to keep some of its co-branded cards front and center in people’s wallets while travel remained far from most people’s minds. Its solution was to introduce monthly dining and wireless credits for a number of its co-branded cards and today is the last chance you have to use up March’s credits if you haven’t already done so.

Amex Co-Branded Consumer Cards – Dining Credits

There are a few key things to note about these dining credits:

  • These offers must be loaded to the cards they have been targeted to just like a regular Amex offer. Cardholders who do not load the offers to their cards will not get the dining credits.
  • Only purchases made by the primary cardholder will trigger the credit. Supplementary cards will not receive the published rebate.
  • The credits will only be triggered by purchases made with US-based establishments.
  • Each statement credit can be triggered once per month between 1 February and 31 December 2021.

Note: These offers are only open to cardholders whose accounts were active before 1 January 2021. Anyone who has recently made the most of a 2021 sign-up offer will not see these offers in their account(s).

Amex Hilton Honors Consumer Cards

Amex Marriott Bonvoy Consumer Cards

Amex SkyMiles Consumer Cards

Amex Co-Branded Business Cards – Wireless Credits

There are a few key things to note about these wireless credits:

  • All of these offers are only open to cardholders whose accounts were active before 1 January 2021.
  • All of these offers must be loaded to the cards they have been targeted to just like a regular Amex offer. Cardholders who do not load the offers to their cards will not get the credits and/or the bonus points.
  • Only purchases made by the primary cardholder will trigger the credit and will be valid towards the bonus points spending targets. Supplementary cards will not receive the published rebates or the bonus points.
  • The wireless credits will only be triggered by purchases made with US providers.

Note: Holders of the Amex Marriott Bonvoy Business Card have the whole of 2021 in which to make the most of their bonus points offer as do holders of all the Delta Business Cards, but holders of the Amex Hilton Honors Business Card only have until 30 June 2021.

The Wireless Credits

Bottom Line

A variety of American Express co-branded credit cards are currently offering generous monthly credits for dining at US restaurants (including US take-out services) and for spending with US wireless service providers. As today is the last day of March, anyone who hasn’t used this month’s credit(s) has just hours left to do so.
