Hilton has announced that announced that Conrad Hotels & Resorts will take over the management of The London NYC and will subsequently reflag the property as the Conrad New York Midtown.

The Luxury Group within Hilton Management Services will take over the operation of The London NYC this month and the “re-imagined property” is scheduled to officially rebrand as a Conrad hotel within 18 months.

The property has already been added to the Hilton Honors portfolio so guests can already earn and burn Hilton points at the London NYC.

The 562-room London NYC property will undergo an extensive renovation and will rebrand to the Conrad New York Midtown in spring 2019. The renovation will include a complete remodelling of all rooms, public spaces and elevators and will introduce “a new upscale dining concept”.

According to the Hilton press release:

Upon completion, the hotel’s chic interiors, by designer Stonehill & Taylor, will offer a modern interpretation of the Conrad “world of style” design aesthetic. Additionally, the hotel will boast 24-hour in-room dining, a large state-of-the-art fitness facility, and 4,798-square-feet of adaptable meeting space.

As the only all-suite luxury hotel in midtown New York, The London NYC will set a new standard, featuring spacious suites that average more than 500-square-feet and dramatic views of Gotham’s iconic skyline from the hotel’s top floors.

Get An Upgrade & Bonus Points Too

To celebrate the changes at the London NYC Hilton is running a promotion whereby guests booking a London Suite will receive a one level complimentary upgrade at the time of booking as well a 1,000 bonus Hilton Honors Points.

The booking period for this promotion is through 31 December 2017 for stays through 31 March 2018.

I’ve had a quick look at the Hilton website and I can’t see any mention of this promotion so you may have to call up to book if you want to be sure the upgrade is offered.

Also make sure you check just exactly what the upgrade gets you because, while the London Suites are around 500 sq ft in size, there are rooms on higher floors that are less than half that so, if the “upgrade” is only to a higher floor you should check that you’re not being downsized.
