Hilton has launched a flash sale for stays at its properties in the Asia-Pacific region (which, just to be clear, covers properties in the Indian Ocean too) and is offering guests up to 35% off regular rates.

Availability at the discounted rates is described as “limited” so, if anything in the sale catches your eye, book sooner rather than later.

The Deals & Destinations

The term “Asia-Pacific” doesn’t really do this sale justice as it covers Hilton properties in the Indian Ocean too – so that’s the Maldives covered.

The sale only covers 3 of the 5 areas of the Asia-Pacific region and these are:

  • Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific
  • Southeast Asia
  • Maldives, India & Sri Lanka

Not included in the sale are:

  • Japan, Korea & Guam
  • China, Hong Kong & Macau

Sadly it doesn’t appear as if all hotels within a participating region are participating.

The first property I decided to check was the Hilton in Auckland (a city I recently visited and where hotels are anything but cheap) and its prices are still over $200/night – that’s not a sale!

Having said that, there are some very good looking deals on some other properties.

Sub-$160 prices for a central property in Sydney is pretty good…

….while there are some incredibly cheap rates available in Bangkok (which, admittedly, is a pretty cheap place to stay even without a sale):

Singapore is another city where hotel prices can get a little on the high side so the Conrad at under $170/night is definitely worth a look.

On the more luxurious side of things the Conrad Koh Samui makes a welcome appearance in the sale (although the Residences are excluded)….

….and I couldn’t miss out the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island either:

This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as the sale goes – there are dozens more hotels participating and you should struggle not to find something that works for you if you’re heading to one of these regions.

Bottom Line

Don’t forget that you will get an extra 500 Hilton Honors Points for booking through the Hilton App and makes sure that, if you have a credit card that comes with Hilton status (like the Amex Platinum Card), that your status is correctly displayed in your account before your stay – status benefits can be big money savers.

Lastly, make sure you compare rates at other properties in the destination of your choice too – just because Hilton is offering 35% off doesn’t mean that there aren’t any equally good deals (or better deals) elsewhere.
