Last week I highlighted some very good TAP Air Portugal deals for Business Class travel between London and various cities in North America, but today’s deal blows all of those out of the water.
Right now you can book roundtrip Business Class travel between Oslo an New York for the incredibly low price of just $1,269…and availability looks good deep into 2020.
Also, if you use this link to TAP Air Portugal’s booking page, you’ll get a further 5% discount through 18 August 2019.
If you’re happy to schedule an overnight layover in Portugal availability is amazing (as this Matrix screenshot showing availability in January 2020 shows):
If you’d prefer to have as short a layover as possible in Portugal (usually under 2 hours), availability is more restricted….but still pretty good.
When searching for this fare using Google Flights, the results tend to just show the options without overnight layovers…and this is what they look like:
November – December
January – February
March – April
May – June
TAP flies in to both major New York airports but all the itineraries I’ve pulled up appear to route through Lisbon and fly into JFK (this may just be a coincidence).
On the whole, this is pretty good news as TAP tends to use its Airbus A330-900neo aircraft between Lisbon and New York JFK…
…and this aircraft offers TAP’s best Business Class cabin:
Finding & Booking The Flights
You can use either the Matrix search tool or Google Flights to find these fares (if you’re hoping to book a stopover the Matrix tool is probably better) and they’re incredibly easy to find….but make sure you book through the TAP Air Portugal page (using this link) to get a further 5% discount.
Google Flights prices up the flights without long layovers pretty easily….
…but and you’ll find the fares on the TAP Air Portugal website as well:
There’s no end date for this fare as far as I can see so it may be around for a while or it may get pulled at any moment – don’t procrastinate for too long if you find dates that work for you.
At under $1,300 for roundtrip Business Class travel between Europe and the US on a full-service carrier this is one of the best deals I’ve seen in a while.
TAP Air Portugal may not be part of the oneworld alliance (the preferred alliance of a lot of this blog’s readership) but you can credit your flights to a multitude of Star Alliance airlines (like United MileagePlus or Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer) and still get great value from the miles you earn.
