Last week I posted a few good Qatar Airlines Business Class fares for travel from Helsinki to the Middle East and Asia but, somehow, I didn’t notice this great fare that’s available for travel from Stockholm to Dubai on similar dates. The cost isn’t the only reason I think this fare is great but I’ll come on to why that’s so a bit later in this post.

Qatar Airways Business Class Stockholm – Dubai

Headline T&Cs

  • Must book by 14 July 2016
  • Cheapest fares available until 10 December 2016
  • Fares of $1,176 RT available through May 2017

Aside from a few dates in June 2016 the best fares I could find are for $1,065 roundtrip in Business Class.

Yes, I’ve checked that there aren’t phantom fares so they do actually exist:

…although the exact cost in USD will depend on which exchange rate you use:

You can book these fares direct on any Qatar Airways page.

Availability is excellent starting straight away in June and July….

And carries on like that through the rest of 2016 until we reach December…..

….where the very best fare ends but is replaced by another pretty great deal.

The $1,176 fare is then available through May 2017 and can be booked during a large part of the European Easter vacations

Why This Fare Is So Good

While it should be pretty clear that this is a fantastic price for Business Class fare there are a few things about it that make me like it even more.

1 – No Bad Layovers

There are so many different combinations of flights that you can take while still getting the great price that there’s no need for any unpleasant long layovers in either direction.

This isn’t always the case with Qatar Airways’ best Business Class deals so this is a definite bonus.

2-  Good Aircraft

One of the things that can put people off the Qatar Airways Business Class deals from Helsinki is that the airline operates Airbus A320 aircraft between Helsinki and the Middle East – the Business Class seats are still very good but they’re not the superb seats you associate with a lot of Qatar Airways’ aircraft.

That’s not the case here.

Flights between Stockholm and the Middle East are all on Qatar Airways’ fantastic 787 Dreamliner:

Qatar Airways 787-8

And, as you can see from the screenshot above, you can even select flights between Doha and Dubai that are wide-body aircraft too….even the Qatar Airways A350!

3 – No Early Starts or Overnight Flights

Because there is such a wide variety of flights on which these fares work, it’s entirely possible to ensure that  you don’t have any unnecessarily early starts or overnight flights.

This will be useful for families traveling with children and for anyone who wants to make the most of the excellent onboard service you get on Qatar Airways.

Bottom Line

This is probably the best all-round fare I’ve seen for a while.

Yes, we’ve had some fantastic fares across the Atlantic in recent weeks and we’ve had some great fares between Europe and Asia as well…but a lot of those fares required a little bit of a compromise in one way or another.

The timings of the flights may not have been perfect, a few of the fares required a long layover on at least one part of the journey, and some fares involved aircraft that weren’t the best the airline had to offer. That’s not the case here.

Qatar Airways’ 787 Business Class cabin has its newest Business Class product and deserves all of the plaudits it gets. And at under $1,100 (£750/€970) roundtrip it’s an absolute steal.

When you combine the price with the fact that you can use these fares to escape the European winter for a few days or even take the kids away for Christmas or Easter that makes this a very interesting deal indeed.
