Alaska Airlines is currently promoting a sale for travel between the West Coast and destinations in Hawaii and Mexico. The sale has less than two days to run (it ends tomorrow) but with one-way fares still available from $99, some very good deals remain available.

The deal

Book by 28 July 2022. Travel between 6 September and 5 October 2022

  • These fares are nonrefundable and are only available on flights marketed by Alaska Airlines for travel on Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, or SkyWest.

  • Applicable fare and tax differences apply to any changes made after ticketing.
  • Fares include U.S. government taxes and fees. Canadian and Mexican government taxes and fees that are included in the fares shown are based on the current currency exchange rate and are subject to change.

Availability

While I haven’t taken a deep dive into the availability of the lowest fares that Alaska Airlines is offering, the quick look that I’ve had seems to indicate that availability drying up.

The $99 one-way fare from San Jose to Maui appears to be readily available…

…but the cheapest ($99) flights to Cabo are now hard to find and the great fares from Seattle and San Francisco to Hawaii are rapidly disappearing.

At the time of writing there are still a number of great deals to be had if you’re happy to travel in September but if you see a fare that works for you, now is not the time to procrastinate – a fare that’s bookable now may not be available in an hour’s time.

Bottom line

Alaska Airlines is currently offering a number of good deals for travel between the West Coast and destinations in Hawaii and Mexico. The sale runs through 28 July (tomorrow) but with the better deals being snapped up pretty quickly, waiting any longer than you have to before you book could see you missing out.
