Hyatt has announced a new promotion in conjunction with MGM in which World of Hyatt members can earn double points at MGM’s Last Vegas properties for the next three months. Registration is required.
The promotion
Per Hyatt:
Earn 2X World of Hyatt points on all qualifying stays at participating MGM Rewards destinations in Las Vegas when you register and stay between July 13 and October 15, 2022.
The key terms
- You must be a member of World of Hyatt and the MGM Rewards program to participate in this offer.
- Members must register for the offer between July 13, 2022 and October 15, 2022 (“Offer Period”) and provide both membership numbers to participate.
- To register for the offer or join World of Hyatt, visit the offer landing page.
- Eligible stays under this offer must have a checkout date during the Offer Period.
- You will receive five (5) World of Hyatt Base Points and five (5) World of Hyatt Bonus Points per eligible USD for each eligible stay at participating MGM Rewards Las Vegas destinations during the Offer Period.
- For the purpose of this offer, an “eligible stay” is defined as any stay where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a free night award for at least one night of their stay.
- Only the room occupied by the Member will count toward this offer.
- You must provide your World of Hyatt membership number at the time of check-in and choose World of Hyatt Points for each stay.
- Please allow two to three weeks after your qualifying stay for World of Hyatt Points to be posted to your World of Hyatt account.

Quick thoughts
I value World of Hyatt points at 1.4 cents each (based on the value that I know I can usually get out of them without much trouble) so for me, this promotion offers the opportunity to earn a 14% rebate on any MGM Las Vegas stays that I make between now and mid-October. That’s probably not a big enough incentive for me to start making new plans but if I decide to head to Vegas during the promotion period anyway, this will be a nice bonus to enjoy.
Bottom line
World of Hyatt members who register for this promotion will earn 10 points/dollar on all eligible spending made at MGM’s Las Vegas properties from not though to 15 October 2022. Even if, like me, you have no current plans to visit Sin City it’s a good idea to register nonetheless – you never know when your plans may suddenly change and it would be a shame to miss out on some easy points just because you didn’t take a few seconds out of your day to register now.
