American Airlines & Sam’s Club have joined forces to offer new members a chance to earn American Airlines AAdvantage miles.
A little unusually this offer is tiered both by type of membership you buy AND your AAdvantage status.
Sam’s Club offers three tiers of membership and this is how many miles you’ll earn depending on which membership option you go for:
Sam’s Club Savings Memberships & Sam’s Club Business Memberships:
Cost: $45
AAdvantage earnings for signing up:
- 1,500 miles for AAdvantage (basic member, no status)
- 2,000 miles for AAdvantage Gold & Platinum status holders
- 2,500 miles for AAdvantage Platinum Pro, Executive Platinum & Concierge Key status holders
Sam’s Club Plus Membership:
Cost: $100
AAdvantage earnings for signing up:
- 3,000 miles for AAdvantage (basic member, no status)
- 4,000 miles for AAdvantage Gold & Platinum status holders
- 5,000 miles for AAdvantage Platinum Pro, Executive Platinum & Concierge Key status holders
Headline Terms & Conditions
- One-Time New Member Bonus Promotion (the “Miles Promotion”) is a benefit exclusively for American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holders located in the United States who are not currently Sam’s Club members
- This Offer is only valid for Sam’s Club locations in the United States and excludes Puerto Rico.
- If a member’s Sam’s Club membership is terminated, cancelled or downgraded for any reason within the first six (6) months of the date of the member’s confirmed enrollment as a new Sam’s Club member, the member forfeits the Sign-Up Bonus.
- The Sign-Up Bonus is typically posted to the American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holder’s Account within 6 to 8 weeks of the American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holder being confirmed as a new Sam’s Club member.
I’ve searched the T&Cs and I can’t find any mention of an end date for this promotion but, if this is something that will work for you, I’d sign up sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.
