Qatar Airways is offering up to 20% off premium cabin fares and up to 15% off Economy Class fares for travel through 31 January 2017. It doesn’t look as if the discount can be applied to promotional Business Class fares but the discounts do offer opportunities for some good value fares. On top of that, Qatar Airways is offering double Qmiles to all Privilege Club members who book during the offer period.

Discount Examples
Qatar Airways has some good fares out of Helsinki right now and, if we take a fare to Bangkok as an example, this is what we get (click images to enlarge):

There are three things to note:
- The Business Promo fares are unaffected by the promo code
- The discount being applied to Business Class fares is approximately 15%
- The promotion code opens up First Class fares that weren’t available without it.
That may not seem too exciting to you but take a look how the promotion code can really help out.
I published some great Qatar Airways fares earlier this week so let’s use one of those routings as an example:
Sofia To Singapore
For a trip in November these are some of the options that Qatar Airways is offering on this route.
Outbound:

The total fare of 2,267BGN ($1,292) looks fantastic (and it is) but just look at the layovers involved! The trip times are over 27 hours in either direction and, unless you’re a big fan of spending an incredible amount of time in airport lounges, that means an overnight hotel in either direction…..and that can get expensive.
Without the promo code the alternative is to pay the Business saver fare of 3,023BGN ($1,723) which is nowhere near as good of a deal.
But look what happens to the Business Saver fares when I add in the promo code:
Now the Business Save fare comes to a total of 2,547BGN ($1,452) which still may not be as cheap as the Business Promo fare, but I’d be happy to pay $160 not to have to overnight in Doha twice in one trip.
Bottom Line
It looks like the 20% discounts will only be on offer on First Class fares (let me know if you find out otherwise) but the 15% discount on Business Class fares can, as I’ve I showed above, make a useful difference.
The promo code appears to work on all the Qatar Airways websites I’ve tried it out on (including ones in Europe and the Americas) so a good number of people should be able to benefit from this.
