Marriott Homes & Villas has just announced that it will be running a new promotion next month in which it will be offering Marriott Bonvoy members double elite night credits and double Bonvoy points on select stays made by 30 April 2023.

Quick thoughts
“Double elite night credits” may not be a phrase that sounds at tempting as it may have sounded in the past if you happen to hold the card_name because that card now gives cardholders Platinum Elite status as one of its standard benefits.
It is, however, worth keeping in mind that regardless of what Bonvoy status you hold courtesy of a credit card, if you want to earn Marriott’s Annual Choice Benefit(s) you still have to credit 50/75 elite nights to your Bonvoy account.
Personally, as I couldn’t care less about Annual Choice Benefits or Bonvoy status (I have lifetime elite status locked in) this promotion does nothing to make me want to run out and book a villa or two for the coming months.
Others, however, may feel differently, and if you’re planning a villa stay and have the current Home & Villas Amex offer loaded to one of your cards, it may be worth waiting to see what kinds of rentals are bookable when the promotion goes live (unless you can lock in a killer deal right now).
A triple points promo is on the way too
If you’re not interested in elite night credits but wouldn’t mind earning more Marriott Bonvoy points, another upcoming Homes & Villas promotion may be more to your liking – earn 3x points on bookings of 3 nights or more.

Marriott Week of Wonders is returning
Although it hasn’t been formally announced (as far as I know), Marriott’s “Week of Wonders” promotion is clearly coming back for the 3rd year in a row.
Following the link to the promotions discussed above reveals that these are deals that are being run as part of this year’s Week of Wonders (7 – 14 October 2022) so standby for more offers from Marriott that may or may not be any good.
Bottom line
Marriott Homes & Villas will be running at least two promotions next month so if you have plans to book a villa stay it may be worth waiting a couple of weeks to see what’s bookable when the promotions are live. Please, however, don’t let the promise of these promotions prevent you from making a booking now if you can see a good deal – a good cash saving is almost always going to be more valuable than bonus points or even double elite night credits so lock in any great deals as soon as you feel comfortable booking them.
