A few weeks ago we saw some Amazon listing some fantastic deals on Briggs and Riley luggage and now the online retailer appears to be offering savings of up to 30% on various accessories and bags from TUMI…including bags in the ever-popular “Alpha” ranges.

Most TUMI items appear to be on sale right now and most discounts appear to almost exactly 30%. This isn’t as amazing a sale as the Briggs & Riley sale a few weeks ago but if you’re a TUMI fan this is still pretty good.

If you’re looking for hard-side cases, the TUMI V4 range is probably worth checking out…

a collage of black backpacksThe most popular and in-demand items, however, are likely to be the carry-on bags that TUMI offers. To that end, there are at least 8 bags that would probably work with most airline sizers but I wouldn’t look further than one of the four bags below.

As I say every time a TUMI sale rolls into town, I’m not about to put myself forward as a big TUMI fan (I won’t look any further than Briggs and Riley now), but I know that a lot of people still like the luggage that the brand produces and I have to admit to still liking the TUMI Alpha range – the thick zippers and the ballistic nylon that are key features of the Alpha range are things I can definitely recommend as they’re remnants of the good ol’ days when Tumi wasn’t owned by Samsonite and produced great quality luggage across all of its ranges.

Also, if you’ve managed to pick up any discounted Amazon gift cards that have been available courtesy of Amex and Citi at various times this summer or if you have been targeted for the latest Amex Amazon offer, the savings from those combined with the saving in this sale could make any item you buy an even better deal.

Bottom Line

TUMI’s all-around offering is certainly not as good as it once was, but there’s still a lot to be said for its ballistic nylon Alpha bags (both for checked luggage and for carry-on) which I still like quite a bit. Ordinarily, TUMI pricing can verge on the extortionarte but with 30% off there are one or two good deals to be had.

Related: Check out the Briggs & Riley sale before you comit to buying any TUMI luggage as there are still a few fgood deals availabe there.
