Chase has added another lounge to its growing Sapphire network, this time at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The lounge opened last week (on 16 July), it’s one of the larger locations in the network, and it comes with a feature no other Chase Sapphire Lounge currently has.
What we know about the new lounge
According to Chase, the lounge is located post-security in Terminal D, near Gate D25 and is open between 05:00 and 22:00 daily. All terminals at DFW are connected airside, so you can reach the new lounge regardless of which gate you’re departing from.
We’re told the lounge sits across two levels and that it covers 18,000 square feet, so that makes it one of the bigger locations in the network.
The design leans heavily on the local setting with “leather accents, Texas natural elements, and nods to Dallas sports”, along with a signature bar topped by a tiered brass canopy and a stone countertop that doubles as a charging station.
On the food side, Chase has partnered with Encina, a restaurant in the Bishop Arts District, for what it calls “Texas-rooted flavours with a modern American influence”. Currently (and amongst other things), the menu includes blue corn butterscotch pancakes in the mornings and a slab bacon dish with cheddar grits in the afternoons (I can hear my arteries closing up already!)
The lounge coffee comes from Cherry Coffee, a Fort Worth roaster, and the bar carries a wine list from Parcelle (a New York wine bar and online wine merchant) alongside signature cocktails and a beverage program that Chase says highlights local spirits, cocktails, and beer from Texas breweries.
The standout is the whiskey lounge, which is the first of its kind in the Sapphire network. Apparently, guests can expect a whiskey cart with guided pairings, a featured cocktail, and a handpicked selection of Texas whiskeys, including a custom barrel selection exclusive to the lounge.
Chase describes this area as “tucked-away space” that’s a “lounge-within-a-lounge” which is set up for watching sports.
There are also flexible working spaces with varied seating, movable laptop tables, and a sapphire-blue tiled fireplace.
For families, Chase says there’s a family room and a private nursing room. Guests can also book rest pods, Face Haus facials, and showers.
When it comes to wellness, Chase describes the facials, showers, and rest pods as sitting within a dedicated wellness zone. And we’re told Peloton stretches and meditations created specifically for the lounge will be available on guests’ phones and tablets (these will launch in Dallas first and will then be rolled out across the rest of the Sapphire lounge network).
Who can access Chase Sapphire Lounges
Complimentary access to any Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club is available to primary cardmembers and authorized users of the following cards:
- Chase Sapphire Reserve® card
- J.P. Morgan Reserve® card
- The Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card (no longer open to new applicants but still available if you know how)
Primary card holders of the Chase Sapphire Reserve® for Business card are also granted access, although employee cardmembers on that account are not.
All of the above cardmembers can enter with up to two guests at no charge. Any additional guests cost $27 each.
Access is tied to a guest’s flight departure time, so you can enter up to three hours before departure with your card (or digital Priority Pass Select membership) and an eligible boarding pass.
Anyone holding a Priority Pass Select membership from a source other than one of the cards mentioned above is treated differently – those members can visit a Chase Sapphire Lounge once per calendar year, and guests and any subsequent visits cost $75.

Bottom line
The new Sapphire lounge at DFW is now open and is one of the larger locations in the Chase Sapphire network. It’s also the first to include a dedicated whiskey lounge, a fact which Chase appears to be playing up.
If you hold a Sapphire Reserve, a J.P. Morgan Reserve, a Ritz-Carlton card, or the business version of the Reserve, you get in with two guests for free.
