I don’t often write about Chase offers because, on the whole, they’re not as lucrative as the offers we see targeted to various Amex Cards and because, mostly, they don’t have much to do with travel. Well, this Chase offer isn’t lucrative and it has nothing to do with travel but I thought I’d write a quick post about it anyway because it introduced me to something that I had no idea existed.
Chase has targeted my World of Hyatt Credit Card for an offer for a small saving at something called Amazon 4-Star. At first, I thought that this was an offer to save a little bit of cash in a small corner of Amazon.com where everything on sale has a minimum customer rating of 4 stars but, although I was close with my guess, that’s not what Amazon 4-star actually is. Amazon 4-star isn’t on Amazon.com
Here’s the offer in full:
Earn 10% back on your Amazon 4-star purchase, with a $6.00 back maximum!
Within the walls of Amazon 4-star we harness the power of Amazon.com to help you experience what other customers are buying and loving.
We take the guess work out so you can discover products & gifts you’ll love from the most popular categories on Amazon.com including devices, consumer electronics, kitchen, home, toys, books, games and more. Everything in store is rated 4 stars and above, is a top seller, or is new and trending.
Visit our website to find your nearest Amazon 4-star location.
Offer expires 11/30/2020. Offer valid one time only. Payment must be made directly with Amazon 4-star. Offer not valid on other Amazon purchases. Offer not valid on third-party delivery services. Payment must be made on or before offer expiration date.
Apparently, Amazon 4-star is a physical Amazon store (there are 27 stores currently open with at least 3 more in the pipeline) which, as its name suggests, sell a selection of items from Amazon.com that all come with a 4-star rating, that is a “top seller” or, as Amazon puts it, is “new and trending”.
Here are the store locations:
I was aware that Amazon Books is in existence as a (rather ironic) bricks and mortar store, but I had no idea that Amazon has other types of physical stores around the country too. Apparently, it also has an Amazon Fresh store in Woodland Hills California, an Amazon Go grocery store in Seattle, and Amazon Go fast food outlets in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle. Who knew?! (clearly, not me).
Anyway, this doesn’t have much to do with travel and you’re not exactly going to earn a lot of miles or points from this offer, but I thought I’d share it anyway just in case someone reading this can use it and just in case there’s anyone else out there who had no idea Amazon 4-star existed.
