Chase have brought out an interesting promotion for holders of some of their co-branded credit cards.

Throughout November holders of any of the Chase Marriott Rewards Card will earn double points on purchases with United Airlines while holders of co-branded United cards (personal and business) will earn double miles at Marriott properties around the world.

The promotion, called “Double Stay, Double Go”, doesn’t require registration/enrolment  and cardholders will automatically earn the bonus points just by using their cards.

Full details of the promotion as well as the terms and conditions can be found on the Double Stay, Double Go website which is where you can also check if you have a card eligible for this promotion (I checked, and I can’t think of any Marriott or United cards issued by Chase that are excluded but I could be wrong).

One of the promotion terms to bear in mind is this:

Please note that in order for United MileagePlus Cardmembers to earn double miles on Marriott purchases, they must book their stay directly through Marriott, and must purchase and complete their Marriott stay, or prepay a future stay, between November 1 and November 30, 2015. In order for Marriott Rewards Cardmembers to earn double points on United purchases, they must book their flight directly through United and purchase their flight between November 1 and November 30, 2015

While this a very nice promotion to have, I don’t think it alters the case for the cards – either the cards already work for you or they don’t, this shouldn’t be a decision changing promotion…especially as it’s only for a month.

If you are considering any of these cards make sure you do thorough research before you take the plunge. Check out some of these Flyertalk threads which should detail the best offers available at any given time:
