Etihad has a new mileage sale running for the next 7 days in which it's selling its currency at 1.6 cents per mile. In comparison to some of the sales we saw during the pandemic, this isn't a particularly amazing offer but because Etihad's Miles can be used to book American Airlines awards at a very good rate, this sale is still worth a closer look.
The current IHG Rewards points sale allows members to buy up to 300,000 points at a cost of just 0.5 cents per point but after having been around for six weeks, this sale is set to end tomorrow. Despite the unexpected annoying devaluation that IHG sprung on members last year, this sale can still offer incredible value (as I show in this post) so if you haven't checked this deal out already, now would be a good time to do just that.
Marriott has brought back a similar points sale promotion to one that we saw around this time last year in which it's offering Bonvoy members a bonus of up to 50% on purchases made in the next 6 weeks. For some, this will be a promotion that's well worth considering while for others this is clearly a promotion to avoid.
Flying Blue is running another mileage sale and the program appears to be keeping with its recent policy of offering a bonus of up to 100%. Before last year, the better points sales that we saw Flying Blue running only offered bonuses of up to 75% so this continues to be a good time to buy Flying Blue miles if you have an economical use for them.
Virgin Atlantic's has brought back the same points sale that we saw it running in December and for once, a lack of innovation is a good thing as this is one of the best deals that we've ever seen the airline offer. All Virgin Atlantic Flying Club members can buy points with a 60% bonus while Gold members are being offered a 70% bonus so, with points available from 0.89 pence each for UK accounts and from 1.60 cents each for US accounts, there's a lot of scope to book some great deals courtesy of points purchased in this sale.
United Airlines has launched a new mileage sale in which, once again, it's offering MileagePlus members the chance to buy miles with a bonus of up to 100%. This sale, however, looks a little bit more interesting than some of the other sales that United has published in recent months as the maximum number of miles available appears to be higher.
Qatar Airways has launched a new Qmiles sale in which it's selling its currency at a 40% discount for today and tomorrow. After tomorrow, the discount drops to 30%. Historically, Qatar Airways mileage sales haven't been particularly interesting because award costs have been sky high, but now that some awards can be booked for almost half of what they once cost, sales like this one start to look attractive.
United MileagePlus has launched a new flash sale ahead of Black Friday in which it's offering a discount on the cost of miles rather than a bonus. The discount being offered is 50% and while this reduces the cost/mile to levels that may tempt quite a few people, you should think carefully about how many miles you'd like to buy before participating in this sale.
Radisson Rewards has launched a new points sale with the best bonus that we're used to seeing the loyalty program offer. Through 1 December (Wednesday next week), members can purchase points and get a 100% bonus added on so with a purchase of just 3,000 points triggering the full bonus, this could be a very good time to top up a Radisson Rewards account.
It's the week of Black Friday and that means that we should see deals coming at us from all directions and Etihad has got things off to a great start with a fantastic flash mileage sale. It looks like the sale started yesterday and only runs through to the end of today so you only have a few hours to make the most of this deal.
