JetBlue has given the Economy Class cabin in its Airbus A320 aircraft a makeover and the first aircraft fitted with the new cabin is now in service. With airlines increasingly densifying their Economy Class cabins at the expense of passengers' personal space it's interesting to see what  path JetBlue has taken.

Biometric gates are starting to gain traction and we're seeing more airlines trialling them and putting them into service all the time. Delta and BA were testing facial recognition gates back in 2017, BA expanded its US trials in March this year and Lufthansa joined in on the act at LAX a few weeks later. Now JetBlue has brought its biometric gate to New York.

JetBlue’s lie-flat Mint First Class product has won a lot of praise from the frequent flyer community so it’s always good news when the airline increases the number of routes on which it is offered….and that’s exactly what’s happening.

When the Obama administration relaxed the rules on travel to/from Cuba there was an almighty crush by the US airlines as each tried to get the rights to fly to the Caribbean island. At the time, a number of people commented that the schedules the US airlines were pulling together were overly ambitious and that the demand for travel between the US and Cuba was being overestimated....but the airlines didn't really listen.

JetBlue has announced that it is introducing new requirements for customers flying with emotional support and psychiatric service animals as part of its commitment to ensuring the safety of all customers and crew members traveling on JetBlue.

JetBlue has announced that, in keeping with its recent focus on "better meeting the needs of coast-to-coast travelers", it will be launching new non-stop services from the East Coast to destinations in Southern California and Colorado and a new non-stop service from Southern California to Montana too.

Last week JetBlue extended its schedule listing through the first week of September 2017 and Routesonline picked up on an interesting update that should please a lot of transcon travelers - it looks like JetBlue plans to offer its MINT service between New York and San Diego from August 2017.
