Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan program has launched a flash sale which is running through 30 June and is offering miles with a 30% discount. Not be confused with a sale offering a 30% bonus (which isn't a great deal), the price on offer in this sale is one of the best we see Alaska Airlines publish.
Alaska Airlines added Aer Lingus as a partner airline at the end of March but it's taken the airline until today to publish award charts for Aer Lingus and to get around to adding the Irish flag carrier to its award search engine. Still, we can finally now see just how good or bad the new Alaska/Aer Lingus partnership will be for the miles & points community.
Alaska Airlines has been selling its miles at its best ever rate since the middle of April and time is rapidly running out if you plan to make the most of this deal. Through Sunday 19 May you can buy Alaska miles with a 50% bonus and, after that, I suspect it will be a good few months before we see a bonus that high offered to everyone.
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles are one of my favorite airline currencies to have in abundance but, as I can't remember the last time I flew with Alaska and as I credit my American Airlines flights to BA (I like having oneworld Emerald status), I'm left with little option but to hope for a good mileage sale....like this one.
Over the weekend Alaska launched a promotion its calling its "Coast To Elite Challenge" which is essentially a fast track to elite status challenge.Alaska's Coast To Elite challenge allows flyers to earn Alaska Mileage Plan MVP status after just two roundtrips or MVP Gold status after just four roundtrips as long as the trips are taken on 'qualifying coast to coast flights'.
Alaska's Mileage Plan miles can be used to great effect if you're booking premium cabin awards on airlines like Korean, Cathay Pacific or even LAN and that's why they're now the only currency that I still find myself tempted to buy each time a reasonable bonus offer comes along....and right now we have such an offer.
Alaska's Mileage Plan program has been running an excellent mileage sale (for some) since last month but time has nearly run out to make the most of it. The sale, which offers targeted Mileage Plan members the chance to buy miles with a 40% - 50% bonus, ends tomorrow so, if you haven't done so already, it's time to decide if you need any more miles.
Alaska's Mileage Plan program has launched a new mileage sale in which it's offering members the chance to buy miles with a bonus of up to 50% thrown in. Unfortunately this is a targeted promotion so not everyone will see the 50% bonus in their accounts - the other offers I've seen have all been for bonuses of 40% but there may be yet more variations out there.
The latest Alaska mileage sale seems to have been going for quite some time but today is the day it finally ends. No doubt there will be another promotion along in due course but there's no guarantee that it will be as good (or better) than this one...and this one is pretty good.
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles are one of my favorite airline currencies but, as I don't fly Alaska very often and as I credit my American Airlines flights to BA (for the purpose of earning status), I'm left with little option but to hope for a decent mileage sale....like this one.
