Following on from the last two days of good fares to Singapore and yesterday’s emergence of a good British Airways fare to Hong Kong, I’ve noticed a few other airlines offering good business class fares to Hong Kong as well.

Availability:

As mentioned above, these fares are available for travel through May 2016 but most of the availability is condensed into the period November 2015 to February 2016.

The fares were found using the ITA Matrix search engine and, although the “calendar view” of available fares will show the cheapest fare at $2,017…..

When you drill down to see what ‘s available, the slightly cheaper fares at $1,998 show up:

As I pointed out with the great Finnair fares to Singapore, the aircraft that Finnair is flying on these routes (A340) are not guaranteed to have the latest Finnair Business class product onboard. If that’s a deal-breaker for you I’d suggest contacting Finnair to get the latest news on their fleet updates and to check which aircraft you can expect on these routes.

SAS (Star Alliance)

Pricing: From $1,942 (£1,295/€1,735)

Route(s): AMS/BRU/DUS – ARN – AMS/BRU/FRA/DUS

Travel dates: November 2015 – July 2016

SAS Business Class to Hong Kong

As one of the sectors is an overnight flight the minimum stay requirement (the period that you’re physically in Hong Kong) is just 2 nights as this set of options shows:

This a very similar fare to the SWISS fare from Spain to Singapore that I posted yesterday.

Availability is best in November and December….

While availability in January is poor….

It’s a shame that this fare is the one with the shortest date range as it’s probably the one (of the three here) that I’d most like to try out. As I mentioned in the Singapore fare alert yesterday, the business class offering on SWISS has had some great reviews recently so I’m very keen to try it out. Unfortunately my travel is pretty set for the next few months so I’m just going to have to live vicariously through anyone I know that books one of these fares 🙂
