Best Western may not be the coolest of hotel brands or the brand that immediately springs to the minds of most miles & points collectors but it’s definitely a brand to keep an eye on as, occasionally, it offers some very nice promotions…like this one.

Thoughts

There’s both good and bad news in here.

First the good news:

Two nights at Best Western properties can easily cost no more than $150 – $170 while some of the better Best Western Properties (like the best Western Plus Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood) can easily cost $250+….so there’s a real opportunity to save some money here.

I can’t see anything in the terms and conditions which excludes reservations which have already been made (as long as the stays haven’t already started or been completed)

Now the bad news:

The free night voucher is only valid for 60 days after fulfillment so there isn’t much flexibility as far as using the voucher goes – assuming you delay the last stay to as close to the end of the promotion as possible the voucher will have to be used by mid-June at the latest.

Bottom Line

There are some genuinely good Best Western properties out there so there’s definitely value to be had out of this promotion.

If you can move a couple of one-night stays (that you already had planned) to a well-priced Best Western you’ll end up with a voucher that can be used for a very nice stay…albeit for one night.

It’s a shame the voucher has to be used so promptly as otherwise I’d be able to do quite well out of this…but hopefully someone reading this will be able to make more of it than me.
