American Express Membership Rewards is currently running transfer bonuses to Marriott Bonvoy, British Airways/Iberia/Aer Lingus, and JetBlue (targeted) and now it has brought back a transfer bonus to a partner that hasn’t seen an AMEX transfer bonus for over 2 years – Hawaiian Airlines.
As the screenshot above shows, AMEX is offering a 25% bonus on all Membership Rewards transfers to Hawaiian Airlines through 7 October 2019 and as this is as high as transfer bonuses to Hawaiian have historically been, this promotion is worth a closer look.

Quick Thoughts
The best deals appear to be the Business Class deals to/from Papeete on Hawaiian Airlines and the Virgin Atlantic fare between the East Coast and the UK (no surcharges according to Dan’s Deals), but if you’re fortunate enough to be able to find a First Class fare between New York and Hawaii you’ve definitely hit the jackpot at just 32,000 Membership Rewards points (one way).
Bottom Line
This isn’t exactly a mind-blowing deal but its good to see American Express offering a bonus on transfers to Hawaiian Airlines again, and there are some good deals to be had if you’re fortunate enough to find award availability.
Make sure you find award availability before you transfer over any miles and don’t stockpile points without a plan – you’re a lot less likely to get burned if you follow those two simple rules.
