Today has seen American Express publish limited-time offers on all three of its Delta SkyMiles co-branded business credit cards and with the bonuses now ranging from 70,000 to 90,000 miles, with all three cards offering statement credits, with two cards offering bonus Medallion Qualifying Miles, and with one card waiving its annual fee, this may be a good time to see if one of these cards would work in your wallet.

Delta SkyMiles® Gold Business American Express Card

The Delta SkyMiles® Gold Business American Express Card now offers the following welcome bonus:

  • Earn 70,000 bonus miles and a $50 statement credit after spending $2,000 in the first 3 months of card membership (offer expires 10 November 2021 – terms apply).

Note: This welcome offer is not available to applicants who currently have this card or who have had this or previous versions of this card in the past.

Just as with the consumer version of this card, the Delta SkyMiles® Gold Business American Express Card is primarily designed for someone looking to dip a toe into the world of Delta’s American Express cards to see how well one of the cards may work for them. It’s worth noting that although this business card comes with a lot of the same features as the consumer card, the shopping categories that earn bonuses for the business card are noticeably different.

As with the consumer card, the annual fee for the Delta SkyMiles Gold Business Card is waived in the first year (a $99 annual fee applies from year 2 – rates & fees) but this card is also currently offering a $50 statement credit as part of its welcome offer so, effectively, Amex is paying customers to try this card out in the first year.

  1. It offers a number of key benefits (terms apply):
    • A free checked bag for up to 9 people traveling on the same reservation
    • 20% back on select in-flight purchases
    • Priority boarding
    • $100 Delta flight credit after spending $10,000
  2. It allows cardholders to earn bonus miles in select spending categories (terms apply):

Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card

The Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card now offers the biggest points welcome bonus of all the cards in this post:

  • Earn 90,000 bonus miles, 10,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQM), and a $100 statement credit after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months of card membership (offer expires 10 November 2021 – terms apply).

Note: This welcome offer is not available to applicants who currently have this card or who have had this or previous versions of this card in the past.

The card comes with a $250 annual fee (which is effectively reduced to $150 in year 1 by the welcome offer credit – rates & fees) and for that, the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card offers the following key benefits (terms apply):

  • Access to Delta Sky Clubs for $39/visit
  • Status Boost (1) – earn 10,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQM) for every $25,000 spent on the card in a year (up to a maximum of 20,000 MQM)

Bottom Line

All three of Amex’s Delta co-branded business credit cards are now sporting new welcome offers which are going to be available through 10 November 2021. If you’re a very frequent flyer with Delta (i.e you fly with them monthly and almost exclusively) the best Delta co-branded business card for you will almost certainly be the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card, but for all other Delta flyers, the Gold or Platinum Cards will probably be a better fit.
