Routes Online has noted that the latest American Airlines schedule changes indicate that the airline is cancelling its double daily service between Miami and Washington Dulles at the end of this year.

Currently American Airlines operates an afternoon flight and an evening flight to Washington Dulles out of Miami on the following schedule….

AA2478 MIA 15:40 – 18:18 IAD (Daily A319 service)
AA2625 MIA 21:35 – 00:14+1 IAD (Daily 737-800 service)

AA2727 IAD 06:25 – 09:13MIA 738 (Daily 737-800 service)
AA2478 IAD 18:59 – 21:48 MIA (Daily A319 service)

…but these flight no longer appear in the airline’s systems past 19 December 2018.

American will continue to operate its 62 weekly flights between Miami and Washington’s Reagan Airport so it’s not like Miami flyers will be left without service to the nation’s capital…but this is still a significant reduction in seats available between the two cities.
