Air France is well-known for partnering with French Michelin-starred chefs when it comes to creating meals for its Business Class and First Class cabins across all its worldwide routes…but now the airline has turned to an American for some culinary inspiration.

Daniel Rose is the Michelin-starred chef associated with Le Coucou in New York as well as Chez La Vieille and La Bourse et La Vie in Paris and now he’s teaming up with Air France to showcase some of his creations on Air France’s Business Class flights from the US to Paris.

Daniel Rose has come up with three dishes which, starting from September, will be offered on a rotating two-monthly basis.

Poultry gratin with onions (September to October 2019 and March to April 2020)

a plate of food with gravy

Warm poultry pate with foie gras (November to December 2019 and May to June 2020)

a plate of food with a round object on top

Cod with turnip and ‘beurre blanc’ (January to February 2020 and July to August 2020)

a bowl of food with a piece of cheese and some noodles

You’ll find these meals on Air France departures from the following cities (to Paris):

USA

  • Atlanta
  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • Dallas
  • Detroit
  • Houston
  • Los Angeles
  • Minneapolis
  • New York
  • San Francisco
  • Seattle
  • Washington D.C.

Canada

  • Montreal
  • Toronto
  • Vancouver

These meals appear to be being offered in one direction only (North America to Paris) so the meals in the opposite direction will be the scheduled creations by the French Michelin-stared chefs with whom Air France has partnered – Anne-Sophie Pic, Arnaud Lallement, Guy Martin and Andrée Rosier.
