I have to confess that I don’t check what offers Chase has targeted me for nearly enough and that’s mostly down to the fact that, frankly, most of the offers that I was targeted for in the first half of last year were poor. I lost interest.

Now, however, Chase appears to have upped its game a little and there are at least 4 good travel deals that cardholders are being targeted for so this may be a good time to log in to your account and check to see if you’ve been targeted for any of these deals.

Chase Travel Offers

Here are the four travel offers that I appear to have been targeted for:

Each has its own set of terms & conditions and maximum rebate caps.

Hyatt House Offer

  • Earn 15% back when you spend $100 or more
  • Maximum rebate $45
  • One time rebate only
  • Complete payment for your stay must be made by 2/15/2020
  • Valid at 80+ Hyatt House locations across the U.S.
  • Payment must be made directly with the merchant

$300 of spending with Hyatt House will see you maximize the rebate on this offer.

Best credit cards on which to have this offer targeted:

Best Western Offer

  • Earn 10% back when you spend $100 or more
  • Maximum rebate $29
  • One time rebate only
  • Complete payment for your stay must be made by 1/31/2020
  • Valid only at domestic properties
  • Payment must be made directly with the merchant

$290 of spending with Best Western will see you maximize the rebate on this offer.

Best credit cards on which to have this offer targeted:

Kimpton Hotels Offer

  • Earn 20% back when you spend $100 or more
  • Maximum rebate $120
  • One time rebate only
  • Complete payment for your stay must be made by 2/28/2020
  • Valid only at Kimpton Hotels
  • Payment must be made directly with the merchant

$600 of spending with Kimpton Hotels will see you maximize the rebate on this offer.

Best credit cards on which to have this offer targeted:

*Note: The 15 points/dollar earning rate is made up of the 10 points/dollar that the IHG Rewards Club Premier card offers for spending at all IHG properties and the 5 points/dollar that guests will earn courtesy of the Platinum status that the credit card bestows upon the cardholder.

Before you book through a Kimpton stay through the regular webpage you should check out to see if the current Kimpton 10,000 bonus points per night offer would work for you.

Airbnb Offer

  • Earn 5% back when you book through Airbnb
  • Maximum rebate $28
  • One time rebate only
  • Complete payment for your stay must be made by 2/15/2020
  • Payment must be made directly with the merchant

$560 of spending with Airbnb will see you maximize the rebate on this offer.

Best credit cards on which to have this offer targeted:

Note: Airbnb spending doesn’t code as “travel” spending and so it won’t trigger the travel spending category bonuses offered by cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

  • Chase Freedom Unlimited card (1.5% cashback or 1.5 Ultimate Rewards points/dollar on all spending)
  • Ink Business Unlimited card (1.5% cashback or 1.5 Ultimate Rewards points/dollar on all spending)
  • Any Chase airline co-branded card whose currency you value at 1.5 cents/unit* or more.

*Note: I value Chase Ultimate Rewards points at 1.5 cents each and, aside from the “Unlimited” cards no Chase Ultimate Rewards card offers more than 1 point/dollar for unbonused spending so, if you’re not going to use an Ultimate Rewards card that earns 1 point/dollar (worth 1.5 cents) you should be using a card that earns at least the same.

Bottom Line

You’re not going to save a fortune with these deals but they’re still very nice money savers if you were already planning on spending with any of the brands mentioned above.

To add to your savings you should make sure you make the most of any portal offers that are available (Rakuten is one very good option and the Airbnb airline tie-ups may be useful too).
